A fall storm brought us 3 feet of snow and two snow days this week. Here are the kids at the beginning of the storm. There was much more to come...
Making a track for the sled...
Macy was the only one brave enough to go out the second day. You can tell how high the snow is next to her!
Felix succumbed to Macy & Fletcher's cold/flu and decided to cuddle inside with mommy...
The sun came out on Friday and melted enough of the snow that we could get out of the house. It was Halloween party day at school.
Today we have Boo at the Zoo and Trick-or-Treating in Evergreen. I'm hoping for warmer weather!

Pumpkin Patch
Last weekend we headed out for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with friends. Fletcher was Spiderman...
Macy was a Princess... (very lady like here, huh?)
and Felix was sort of a skunk...he wore the costume long enough to take this picture.

Some random October photos
After the boys won bikes, Marc brought home this helmet from Goodwill. Felix was so excited. He put it on and ran around to find his football. Now every Sunday he puts it on when we watch football. He's such a riot.Felix asleep on Macy's lap. Aww.....
Fletcher's preschool asks parents to volunteer to make playdough every few weeks. When it was our turn I started mixing the ingredients and Macy quickly jumped in telling me "like this momma". She took it out of the bowl and started kneading it like bread. Smart girl.Felix helping me make pumpkin puree for muffins and toasted pumpkin seeds.
Yes, fall is here in Colorado!
My pretty girl ready for school.
Felix all dressed up for bed. He put his leg up like that and said "I momma!" because I stand like that all the time.
Could he be any cuter?

Fire Safety Day
The first Saturday in October was Fire Safety Day at the Evergreen fire station. The kids were so excited to go. The fire station is right next door to their school, so they often see the fire trucks and even made a banner for them for "Hero Day" (Sept 11th).
Fire Safety Day featured the flight for life helicopter...
A ride in the bucket on the ladder truck!
How often do you get to do that!?!? Here's the view...
And best of all, BOTH of the boys won new bikes!
Macy was not very happy about that, but she forgot about it pretty quickly.
We got to take a ride around town on an old firetruck and did all sorts of other fun stuff. I love this age when the kids are so amazed by big trucks and jumpy castles.

Catching up... Is it still September?
Wow, another month with no updates from me. Life has been hectic to say the least! I'll try to catch you up in photos!
We enjoyed some nice weather at the end of September. Here we went on a hike near our house and picked up trash along the way. We live in such a beautiful, quiet area but trash still seems to find its way here. We're teaching the kids to be good little environmentalists!
