Calgon....take me away.

Yesterday afternoon we finished our final of 5 interviews with our social worker. We're pretty darn close to being done with the homestudy now. Here's what's left:

  • File 2007 taxes so they can have a copy of the 1040
  • Finish doctor's appt's - they want us to wait a bit since no documents can be more than 6 months old when they get to Ethiopia
  • SW needs to talk to Marc's daughter who lives in NM since she stays with us in the summer
  • Follow up on the home safety inspection
  • Sit and wait for fingerprints (CBI background check) to come back

After finishing up the interview we went over the dossier paperwork. Ugh! I'm already feeling better about it today but lemme tell ya... I was so sick yesterday with a cold - the kind of sick where you want to sneeze about a hundred times and your head is in a fog and you can't breathe out of your nose and you just want to curl up in bed and pull the covers over your head. So all that paperwork seemed a little pretty overwhelming. The truth is that none of it is particularly hard. There's just a lot of it. A lot. LOT. But at least we're almost to that point, right?!

Yeah-it feels so good to be making progress, even when there is still so much to do! Just make a plan and do a little every day and soon it will all be done.
