I was tagged this week by both Nell Ann and Angela, so I figured I better get my tush in gear and answer some questions. I loved everyone else's answers so much that I want to steal some of them, but I'll try to be as original as possible. Here goes...
8 Things I'm passionate about:
- My family
- Adopting
- The environment
- Finding time to be creative even if I'm the only one who sees the results
- Helping those in need
- Providing a good, alternative education for my children
- Learning new things
- Being open-minded enough to listen to others opinions, views and beliefs
8 Things I want to do before I die:
- Bring our kids home
- Travel to (insert just about any country here)
- Live/work/help in another country(s)
- See my kids grow up with a passion for helping others
- Build a house that's off the grid
- Learn Spanish (my New Years Resolution for 7 years running...)
- Is it shallow to say "get back a bikini body"?
- Not have a job
8 Things I say often:
- I love you sweet boy.
- I'll give you a special treat if you caca in the potty.
- Hey babe? (my son now calls his dad "babe")
- "gorgeous" (my husband says I over use that word but I happen to think it's a lovely word)
- tall non-fat mocha (stolen from Nell Ann but it's true)
- I can't wait for the election
- I need to make a list
- This place is a mess
- Stop being so cheap
8 TV shows I've watched recently:
- Invention Nation
- Celebrity Apprentice
- Life with Ed
- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
- Nip/Tuck
- Numbers
- Criminal Minds
- 60 Minutes
8 Artists I never tire of listening to:
- Neil Diamond
- James Taylor
- Dave Matthews
- Paul Oakenfold
- Fiona Apple
- Jackopierce
- U2
- Simon & Garfunkle
8 Things that attract me to my friends:
- That they're genuine
- That they're open minded
- That they care about others
- That they laugh and make me laugh too
- That I can learn from them
- That they accept me for who I am, but accept me if I change too
- A love of shoes and purses never hurts
- A touch of snarkiness
8 Things I learned in 2007:
- My family is supportive even when I'm not sure how they'll react to something
- It's okay to change and grow as a person
- My husband is amazing
- My husband is supportive
- My child is amazing
- You can love someone you've never even met
- It's possible to be calm and anxious all at once
- There are a lot of like-minded people out there
Is it okay if I come back and change things later? I might think of better answers. :)
